Termina em Criciúma a 15ª edição dos Jogos Abertos da Terceira Idade 2024

A 15ª edição dos Jogos Abertos da Terceira Idade (Jasti) terminou neste fim de semana. E com motivos de sobra para celebrar a vitalidade, a experiência e a alegria dos mais de 2600 atletas de 207 municípios participantes das 36 microrregiões catarinense.

Foram disputadas as modalidades de atletismo, beach tennis, bocha, canastra, dominó, truco, dança coreográfica, dança de salão, dança popular e voleibol adaptado. Apenas o bolão 23 foi realizado em Timbó, entre os dias 25 e 28 de abril.

Segundo a avaliação do presidente da Fesporte, Freibergue Nascimento, o objetivo dos Jogos Abertos da Terceira Idade foi cumprido na sua totalidade. “A competição garantiu o seu papel que foi o de fazer com que os atletas participantes pudessem participar da vida ativa da sociedade.

A Fesporte é responsável pela execução da política pública, sem limitar a faixa etária, e fazer com que todos possam resgatar a sua independência. E este foi o coroamento do trabalho de um ano de preparação e seleção desses incríveis atletas”, concluiu.

Resultados

Apesar das chuvas constates que caíram na cidade de Criciúma, a grande maioria das modalidades previstas foram concluídas. Os Jogos Abertos da Terceira Idade de Santa Catarina, nas etapas microrregional e estadual, são promoções do Governo do Estado de Santa Catarina, por intermédio da Fundação Catarinense de Esporte (Fesporte) e conta com a co-promoção das Prefeituras municipais, coordenados por uma CCO, das Associações Desportivas representantes das pessoas idosas e das entidades educacionais, esportivas e filantrópicas existentes no Estado.
