Sediados na capital paulista, os museus da USP ficarão mais próximos de Ribeirão Preto a partir do dia 13 de abril, com a inauguração da mostra itinerante ‘USP 90 anos: uma jornada imersiva pelos nossos museus’. A cidade será a primeira parada da nova exposição, que estará abrigada no Instituto de Estudos Avançados – Polo Ribeirão Preto (IEA-RP). A abertura será dia 12 de abril, às 16h.
‘USP 90 anos: uma jornada imersiva pelos nossos museus’ reúne recortes dos acervos do Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MAC), Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (MAE), Museu de Zoologia (MZ) e do Museu do Ipiranga, que integra o Museu Paulista (MP) no mesmo espaço, propondo uma experiência imersiva que mescla as tecnologias de realidade virtual e impressões 3D com peças físicas.
A ação foi concebida especialmente para atender a uma programação de itinerância por municípios do interior paulista, cujo roteiro inclui todas as localidades onde há campi da USP.
A mostra integra as atividades comemorativas dos 90 anos da Universidade de São Paulo e tem o objetivo difundir a diversidade de conhecimento produzido e preservado pela Universidade, para além do convite à visitação de seus museus. Paralelamente à mostra, seminários e atividades educativas também serão realizados.
O percurso inicia com 4M, filme documentário imersivo em formato de videoinstalação do artista e videomaker Tadeu Jungle.

O acervo do MAC apresenta ‘Boccioni no Brasil’, tendo como destaque uma réplica da célebre obra ‘Formas Únicas da Continuidade no Espaço’, além da mostra ‘Tempos Fraturados’.
O recorte do MAE para a exposição investiga a ocupação passada e presente dos povos indígenas na cidade de São Paulo e traz artefatos junto a uma projeção tridimensional do sítio arqueológico Abrigo Itapeva.
O MZ trata do processo evolutivo animal e apresenta uma compilação de fósseis, além de mostrar exemplares impressionantes de dinossauros, inclusive um descoberto pela equipe do Museu.
O enfoque do MP se volta para a diversidade da sociedade paulista por meio de retratos históricos e coleções de porcelanas, além de levar o visitante a conhecer parte das salas expositivas do Museu do Ipiranga e a célebre obra ‘Independência ou Morte!’.
A passagem da mostra em Ribeirão Preto vai até 10 de maio, quando seguirá viagem para a cidade de Pirassununga.
No total, a exibição percorre sete campi da universidade, encerrando seu itinerário em 2025 na cidade de São Paulo.
