A Operação Carga Máxima continua com fiscalização efetiva durante o Carnaval em Bonito. Fiscais, policiais ambientais e técnicos estão percorrendo os balneários, atrativos e ranchos de lazer da região para avaliar se os proprietários estão cumprindo com todas as exigências ambientais.

Este trabalho concentrado começou no último sábado (10) e segue até o final do feriado. Vários proprietários estão recebendo as visitas das autoridades, onde está sendo verificado se os atrativos turísticos estão regulares em relação ao licenciamento ambiental, quantidade de visitantes e se cumprem as regras de conservação.

Participam da ação fiscais do Imasul (Instituto de Meio Ambiente de Mato Grosso do Sul), PMA (Polícia Militar Ambiental), fiscais da Prefeitura de Bonito, Corpo de Bombeiros e Ministério Público Estadual. Caso seja necessário o Batalhão de Choque está de prontidão para dar todo o suporte e reforço necessário.

Com o objetivo de cuidar e zelar pela preservação ambiental da região, que é um dos maiores pontos de ecoturismo do Brasil e do mundo, o Governo do Estado faz a sua parte em prol da defesa da belezas naturais do Mato Grosso do Sul.

A ação tem a coordenação da Semadesc (Secretaria de Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento, Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação) ao longo do Rio Formoso, em Bonito, nesse feriado de Carnaval.

Proprietários estão recebendo visitas técnicas para verificar se os atrativos turísticos estão regulares do ponto de vista ambiental

A Operação é um desdobramento das ações desenvolvidas pelo GTI (Grupo de Trabalho Interinstitucional) criado em dezembro do ano passado pelo governador Eduardo Riedel para estudar medidas que ampliem a proteção sobre o Rio Formoso, tendo em vista a fragilidade daquele curso d’água e o aumento desproporcional de atividades turísticas instaladas ao longo de suas margens.

O GTI tem a participação de representantes da Semadesc, Secretaria de Governo, Seilog (Infraestrutura e Logística), Agesul (Agência de Empreendimentos), Sanesul (Empresa de Saneamento), Imasul, Prefeitura de Bonito e da empresa Ambiente MS Pantanal, que gerencia o serviço de esgotamento sanitário no município.

“Nossa intenção é proteger as nossas águas, proteger o Rio Formoso, proteger Bonito para garantir a sustentabilidade daqueles atrativos. Todas essas equipes e instituições estão imbuídas em fazer um bom trabalho. O estado presente, evitando essa prática de atividade ilegal na região de Bonito”, declarou o diretor-presidente do Imasul, André Borges.

Esta fiscalização efetiva inclusive já resultou no cancelamento da Licença de Operação e consequente fechamento do balneário Bosque das Águas que infringiu diversas normas ambientais. O proprietário recebeu uma multa no valor de R$ 180 mil.
