As belezas naturais de João Pessoa unidas à gastronomia, infraestrutura oferecida pela rede hoteleira e outros serviços disponibilizados pelo Município são atrativos que garantem a Capital paraibana ser incluída no roteiro de passeio de muitos turistas durante as férias e feriadões no decorrer do ano. E, neste Carnaval, não foi diferente. Hotéis lotados garantiram também que o comércio da cidade ficasse bem movimentado.  

A carioca Juliana Peçanha, que trabalha como auxiliar administrativa no Rio de Janeiro, disse que está na cidade pela primeira vez e promete incluí-la em novas viagens. “Estou encantada com tudo. É uma cidade tranquila, limpa e bonita, além de não ter um custo de vida alto. É muito bom estar aqui e espero voltar mais vezes”, declarou, ressaltando que é uma cidade convidativa para morar em todos os sentidos.  

Will Lima, gerente de vendas e também carioca, disse que trocou o Rio de Janeiro por João Pessoa há cinco meses para trabalhar. “Surgiu uma oportunidade e eu vim porque gostei da cidade, por ser bem tranquila, bem diferente da realidade do meu Estado. O padrão de vida é outro, além de ser mais desacelerada, limpa, bonita, com uma boa infraestrutura, da rede hoteleira à gastronomia”, destacou.  

A médica Yasmary Peres é natural de Cuba, mas mora em Pernambuco e este ano colocou a Capital paraibana no roteiro de Carnaval e já disse que pretende voltar mais vezes “por se tratar de uma cidade limpa, com pessoas educadas e praias lindas, sem risco de tubarão como Boa Viagem, por exemplo”.  

Economia aquecida – As qualidades da cidade também não estão passando despercebidas pelos trabalhadores individuais de outros Estados que veem no turismo pessoense uma nova fonte de renda. Eles são encontrados com frequência no calçadão da orla, onde fica o letreiro da cidade, com serviço de imagens feitas por drone, como é o caso de Getemberg Cabral, que saiu de Fortaleza para explorar a atividade em João Pessoa na alta temporada.  

“Aqui é uma cidade boa de se ganhar dinheiro porque tem beleza, é limpa e isso atrai os turistas, além de oferecer tranquilidade para operar o equipamento sem medo de ser roubado”, conta ele, revelando que divide espaço na disputa pelos clientes com mais dois cearenses e três baianos. Os preços cobrados variam de R$ 10,00 para fotos (unidade) a R$ 30,00 se for imagem individual ou em grupo.  

Nas áreas da Praia de Tambaú, Berlina Silva, também diz que não tem do que reclamar da venda de churrasquinho. “Tenho vendido bem nos feriados e finais de semana. Já tenho clientes fiéis que garantem o esforço nesses períodos”, afirmou, revelando que o churrasco simples sai a R$ 10,00 e completo (com arroz, vinagrete, farofa e macaxeira) passa para R$ 20,00.  

“Há um ano deixei o Acre e me instalei aqui e até agora não tenho do que me arrepender de um modo geral porque conquistei qualidade de vida. A cidade é boa para morar, tem segurança, praias lindas e limpas e um povo hospitaleiro”, acrescentou.  

Anderson Monteiro, dono do quiosque Catarineta Burguer & Bar, localizado na orla, disse que as vendas só têm aumentado e que, após o Carnaval, está otimista também para as férias de julho. “João Pessoa não tem baixa temporada porque tem um turismo muito forte o ano todo e um povo bastante acolhedor”, frisou.    

Prefeitura investe em turismo – João Pessoa está com quase 72% da rede hoteleira ocupada neste Carnaval. Um reflexo dos investimentos feitos pela Prefeitura neste setor. Esse cenário é resultado da boa qualidade dos serviços prestados pelo setor de turismo da Capital e da ampliação do calendário de participação nas principais feiras de turismo no Brasil e no exterior, além de investimentos e cuidados nas potencialidades naturais da cidade, como as praias, a Orla, as áreas verdes, a tradicional culinária e o Centro Histórico.
