IFSP e Educafro oferecem bolsa auxílio a estudantes de graduação negros – IFSP

Neste primeiro momento serão selecionados 172 estudantes do Campus São Paulo

Na noite desta quinta-feira, o reitor do Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP), Silmário dos Santos, e o pró-reitor de Ensino, Carlos Procópio, estiveram na sede da Educafro em São Paulo para a assinatura de um acordo de cooperação que visa à execução do projeto Cidadania Afro-Brasileira, uma parceria entre o Instituto, a Educafro (conheça mais abaixo) e a Zara (varejista de moda espanhola com diversas lojas no Brasil) que irá selecionar estudantes negros de cursos superiores para recebimento de bolsa auxílio.

O objetivo do projeto é oferecer inclusão educacional a estudantes negros de cursos de graduação do Campus São Paulo em três frentes:  bolsa de auxílio-permanência, curso de formação Cidadania Afro-Brasileira e acompanhamento psicopedagógico. Podem se candidatar à participação alunos negros, cotistas ou não, que ingressaram em cursos superiores nos anos de 2023 e 2024. O edital completo e a ficha de inscrição podem ser acessados aqui. Interessados podem se inscrever até o dia 25 de fevereiro.

Os recursos para a execução do projeto, na casa dos sete dígitos, serão disponibilizados pela Zara como parte de um Termo de Ajuste de Conduta (TAC) relacionado a casos de racismo envolvendo a marca. A execução é de responsabilidade da Educafro. À frente da iniciativa, o assessor psicopedagógico de projetos da instituição, Wilmar Carvalho, conta que o projeto nasce com a ideia de atacar realidades problemáticas para a população negra, entre elas a educacional, a do campo do trabalho, e a da necessidade de letramento racial.

Neste primeiro momento estão sendo ofertadas 172 vagas. Os estudantes selecionados vão receber bolsa permanência de R$ 400, valor que pode ser complementado com outras modalidades de auxílio previstas no item 7 do edital. Todos os bolsistas contarão com acompanhamento psicopedagógico e terão que fazer o curso de Formação Cidadania Afro-Brasileira, que consiste na promoção de uma sólida formação em Soft Skills (habilidades e competências), e têm como objetivo propiciar, entre outras coisas, reflexão racial, desenvolvimento das habilidades para atuação no mercado de trabalho, aprimoramento do raciocínio crítico e desenvolvimento de habilidades socioemocionais e de saúde.

Durante a cerimônia de assinatura da parceria, Silmário afirmou acreditar que o projeto será de grande ajuda na transformação da vida dos estudantes de graduação negros do IFSP: “trata-se de oportunidade”, diz. Seguindo o mesmo raciocínio, o pró-reitor de Ensino reforça que esse é um projeto que beneficia os alunos da instituição, trazendo muitas perspectivas a eles.

 Educafro – É uma reunião de pessoas que lutam pela inclusão de negros, em especial, e pobres, em geral, nas universidades públicas, prioritariamente, ou em uma universidade particular com bolsa de estudos, com a finalidade de possibilitar empoderamento e mobilidade social para a população pobre e afro-brasileira. Entre os objetivos da Educafro estão: organizar e provocar o surgimento de novos núcleos de pré-vestibular nas periferias de todo o Brasil; estimular novas lideranças e cidadãos conscientes nas comunidades e nas universidades e oferecer formação cidadã e acadêmica por meio das aulas de professores voluntários nos cursinhos comunitários. A instituição luta para que o estado cumpra suas obrigações, por meio de políticas públicas e ações afirmativas na educação, voltadas para negros e pobres, promoção da diversidade étnica no mercado de trabalho, defesa dos direitos humanos, combate ao racismo e a todas as formas de discriminação.
