Na música existem artistas que são unanimidades. Respeitados, homenageados, copiados e nunca esquecidos. E que forma melhor para eternizar um ídolo do rock do que em uma escultura em metal. E se tratando de Lemmy Kilmister, metal lhe caiu muito bem.

Mesmo dispensando apresentação, a farei aqui. Lemmy foi o líder do grupo Motörhead por 4 décadas, até sua morte em 2015. Para além disso, foi roadie de Jimi Hendrix, viu os Beatles no Cavern Club, teve colaborações com astros que foram de Ozzy Osbourne a Ice T. Praticamente um Forrest Gump do rock, Lemmy se tornou em vida um ícone do rock com seu chapéu, verruga na cara e costeleta.

Essa versão de Lemmy substitui outra que havia no mesmo local, feita em gesso e já sofrendo com as condições do tempo de uma estátua ao ar livre. Coube à artista Caroline Brisset criar a versão definitiva da homenagem inaugurada este mês.
