A Prefeitura de João Pessoa segue avançando nas políticas públicas voltadas para pessoas com deficiência. Neste sábado (23), a Secretaria de Juventude, Esportes e Recreação (Sejer) promove o 2º Festival Esportivo e Recreativo para Pessoas com Deficiência. O evento será realizado no Ginásio de Esporte Ivan Cantisani, no Tambiá, a partir das 8h.
A expectativa é de que aproximadamente 150 crianças com deficiência participem do evento, que vai contar com diversas modalidades: goalball, futebol de 5, dança em cadeira de rodas, futsal, vôlei sentado, bocha, basquete em cadeira de rodas, parajiu-jitsu e capoeira.
De acordo com o secretário de Esportes de João Pessoa, Kaio Márcio, a gestão avança por ter um olhar mais inclusivo e humano também no esport. Outro ponto da festividade é o início do ‘Esporte Sem Limites’, programa da Sejer voltado à pessoa com deficiência.
“Estaremos funcionando de maneira exclusiva para as pessoas com deficiência em várias modalidades as terças e quintas-feiras, pela manhã e no período da tarde, lá mesmo no Ivan Cantisani. Teremos professores específicos, além de transporte para os alunos no período da tarde. Trabalhamos muito para trazermos um produto com qualidade para a população”, explicou.
Os programas do governo municipal atendem a mais 3.600 crianças especiais nas escolas com cuidadores, além de outros diversos projetos. Para Fábio Farias, gerente do paradesporto da Sejer, a prática esportiva é fundamental para o desenvolvimento motor e cognitivo das pessoas com deficiência. “O sentimento de superação pode ser visto em todos os competidores, tornando-os verdadeiros vitoriosos. O Festival tem a finalidade de democratizar o acesso à prática e à cultura do esporte, promovendo o desenvolvimento integral de crianças e adolescentes com deficiência”, completou.
Projeto – ‘Esportes Sem Limites’ tem como iniciativa proporcionar momentos de integração, diversão e desenvolvimento de habilidades motoras e cognitivas para crianças, jovens e adultos com deficiência.
Atividades: Goalball e Futebol de 5 (deficiência visual); Dança em Cadeiras de Rodas (deficiência física); Capoeira (deficiências intelectual); Futsal (deficiências intelectual e auditiva); Voleibol Sentado e Bocha (deficiência física); Parajiu-jitsu.
Entidades participantes: Instituto de Cegos da Paraíba; Associação Pestalozzi da Paraíba; Associação de Surdos de João Pessoa; Centro de Referência da Pessoa com Deficiência; Coordenadora da Pessoa com Deficiência; Centro Helena Holanda; Fundação Centro Integrado de Apoio à Pessoa com Deficiência (Fundac);Associação de Pais e Amigos de Excepcionais (Apae).
