A Associação Criança Feliz de Sorocaba (ACFS) conquistou, neste fim de semana (23 e 24), uma medalha de ouro e uma de prata na 2ª fase nacional de Atletismo Circuito Loterias Caixa 2025, no Centro de Treinamento Paralímpico (CTP), em São Paulo (SP). A competição reuniu centenas de atletas de todo o País, em provas de pista e de campo.
A ACFS representa o município na modalidade, em parceria com a Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Esporte e Qualidade de Vida (Sequav).
O atleta João Victor Teixeira conquistou a medalha de ouro no lançamento do disco F35. Já Hetieli Alvarenga conseguiu a prata na prova do Arremesso do Peso F64/63, ocupando agora a segunda colocação do ranking nacional.
Os atletas Nathalie Filomena e Willians Pereira competiram no Lançamento do disco F38 e F44, respectivamente, e ficaram na quarta colocação, garantindo o melhor resultado da temporada. Nathalie ocupa a terceira colocação no ranking brasileiro e Willians, que também teve seu melhor resultado do ano, está na sexta posição no ranking brasileiro.
O atleta Matheus Perez, com índice em três provas, realizou excelente participação na etapa nacional e garantiu resultados. Ele manteve a segunda colocação no ranking brasileiro na prova dos 400 mestros T35, além de ter competido as provas dos 100 m (10º lugar) e 200 m (6º lugar).
O projeto da ACFS, em Sorocaba, é realizado no Centro Esportivo da Vila Gabriel e tem como proposta buscar a inclusão social, por meio do esporte paralímpico, de crianças e adolescentes, de 10 a 17 anos, além de pessoas acima dos 18 anos com deficiência física, intelectual ou visual, em modalidades como: corrida, salto em distância, arremesso de peso, lançamento de dardo, corrida com cadeira de rodas, entre outras.
