Prefeitura de Nova Iguaçu abre consulta pública do Programa Municipal de Educação Ambiental
A Prefeitura de Nova Iguaçu convida a população para colaborar, por meio de consulta pública, no processo de elaboração do Programa Municipal de Educação Ambiental (ProMEA). A iniciativa pretende ampliar a participação social de toda a população e de setores interessados na discussão da educação ambiental, mobilizando a sociedade para apontar suas demandas e necessidades no âmbito municipal.
O projeto, gerido pela Secretaria Municipal de Agricultura e Meio Ambiente (SEMAM) e pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SEMED), visa a construção de atividades municipais de educação ambiental. O objetivo principal é promover mudanças para a melhoria do município com desenvolvimento sustentável, fortalecimento de redes de educação ambiental locais e conscientização e sensibilização da população para a conservação do meio ambiente.
Para Edgar Martins, secretário municipal de Agricultura e Meio Ambiente, esse é mais um passo importante na questão ambiental do município:
“A participação da população é de suma importância para o desenvolvimento do ProMEA. Escutar e ensinar aos munícipes é o primeiro passo para uma educação ambiental bem aplicada”.
Virginia Rocha, secretária municipal de Educação, também contou sobre a relevância do projeto.
“Fortalecer a educação ambiental através de um programa municipal com a mobilização das unidades escolares fomenta a cada dia mais as políticas públicas educacionais”, afirmou.
