Mato Grosso do Sul entra na nova fronteira das energias renováveis e transição energética com a ampliação de investimentos em usinas de biometano. Além de produção da energia limpa a partir de dejetos de animais como suínos e bovinos, o biometano obtido por meio da vinhaça, que é subproduto da cana-de-açúcar, ganha mais um capítulo.
Ontem (10), a Atvos anunciou investimento de R$ 350 milhões em uma usina de biometano em Nova Alvorada do Sul. A unidade utilizará como insumos a vinhaça e a torta de filtro, resíduos resultantes da cadeia produtiva da cana, ocupará uma área de 150 mil metros quadrados e terá capacidade instalada de 28 milhões de metros cúbicos de biometano.
Esta será a segunda unidade do setor sucroenergético a investir neste tipo de energia em Mato Grosso do Sul. A primeira usina foi lançada pela Adecoagro em Ivinhema que já está duplicando sua capacidade de produção.
“O Estado fez a regulamentação do biometano, somos um dos primeiros a fazer isso. A MSGás fez um edital para a comprar o produto. Temos a produção de biometano na suinocultura, na Adecoagro e agora vamos reduzir a alíquota do ICMS para o biometano. Tudo isso caminha para estimular este mercado, é uma grande fronteira, uma transição energética”, salientou o secretário de Estado de Meio Ambiente, Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (Semadesc), Jaime Verruck.
Além do setor sucroenergético, a produção de biometano já é amplamente feita na suinocultura. Um dos projetos de destaque é o da SF Agropecuária em Brasilândia, que produz mais de 180 mil suínos por ano e realiza o ciclo completo de produção.
A propriedade é uma das pioneiras na utilização de dejetos de suínos no abastecimento de energia por meio de geração distribuída, e conta com diversas atividades e um portfólio diversificado.
Outro case de sucesso é da usina de etanol da Adecoagro, que usa o biometano para abastecer a frota desde o ano passado. Com a ampliação da planta de Ivinhema, a empresa aumentará sua capacidade e poderá produzir até 1,1 milhão Nm3/mês de biometano, o equivalente a 1 milhão de litros de diesel.
Com o uso crescente da vinhaça, até sua totalidade, a ser transformada no combustível gasoso renovável, a estimativa é substituir até 50 milhões de litros de diesel, o que permitirá a substituição do consumo de diesel equivalente nas operações agroindustriais e no transporte de produto acabado, açúcar e etanol.
Além de ampliar a sustentabilidade de todo o processo, a operação irá aumentar a nota da companhia no Renovabio (principal métrica de avaliação da sustentabilidade), já que o uso intensivo de diesel representa o item de major impacto na avaliação, o que permitirá uma receita adicional na emissão de CBios.
De acordo com o titular da Semadesc, iniciativas como estas se adequam perfeitamente a meta do Governo de ser sustentável e Verde.
“O incremento na busca por energias renováveis, o biometano produzido por estas usinas são uma alternativa viável ao diesel e outros combustíveis fósseis. Além disso, a produção de biometano a partir de resíduos de suínos e de cana-de-açúcar ajuda a reduzir as emissões de gases de efeito estufa, tornando a solução ecologicamente correta”, enfatizou.
Verruck também lembra que estas inovações são incentivadas pelo Governo de Mato Grosso do Sul por meio dos programas de incentivos fiscais como o Leitão Vida e o MS Renovável.
Sobre o novo empreendimento da Atvos, anunciado ontem na Expocanas, Verruck destaca a inovação do setor sucroenergético. “Vemos mais um grande investimento no setor sucroenergético com a Atvos, mas acima de tudo temos um avanço na transição energética que o Estado tanto almeja. Entramos agora numa nova etapa na produção de energias renováveis”, finalizou.
De acordo com projeções da Abiogás (Associação Brasileira de Biogás), a produção de biometano deve saltar 600% até 2029, saindo do atual 1 milhão de m³ por dia para 7 milhões de m³/dia.
Ainda segundo a entidade, atualmente existem 20 plantas no país, sendo que apenas seis comercializam o gás e a expectativa de é que o total de unidades produtoras voltadas à comercialização chegue a 90 nos próximos cinco anos, sendo 42% via setor sucroenergético.
