A Secretaria de Saúde informa que, assim como todos os munícipios do Vale do Paraíba, Guaratinguetá não receberá as doses da vacina contra Dengue, já que não está nos critérios selecionados para o recebimento.
Seguindo o Plano Nacional de Imunização (PNI), foram selecionadas onze cidades do Estado de São Paulo que seguem os seguintes critérios: Possuir um munícipio com mais de 100 mil habitantes, com uma alta taxa de transmissão da doença nos anos de 2023 e 2024, além da predominância dos casos de Dengue tipo 2 (DENV-2). O público-alvo será entre crianças e adolescentes de 10 a 14 anos de idade, já que fazem parte da faixa etária que mais tem taxa de hospitalizações pela doença.
Em nosso estado, as cidades que compõem as características para receberem as vacinas foram os municípios que fazem parte da região do Alto Tietê: Guarulhos, Suzano, Guararema, Itaquaquecetuba, Ferraz de Vasconcelos, Mogi das Cruzes, Poá, Arujá, Santa Isabel, Biritiba-Mirim e Salesópolis.
A Secretaria da Saúde reforça que está realizando todos os esforços para o combate a dengue em nosso munícipio, com as ações da ADL e seguindo à risca a programação dos Agentes de Endemia. Com isso, a Secretaria também pede a compreensão dos munícipes para os profissionais de saúde possam exercer seus trabalhos.
