Na sexta-feira, 1º de março, às 15h, o IFSP realizará uma live para o lançamento de dois editais dos Polos Olímpicos de Conhecimento. O Edital 1/2024 tem como objetivo selecionar propostas de projetos de criação de desenvolvimento de polos olímpicos na Rede Federal; e o Edital 2/2024, visa apoiar financeiramente propostas de participação em fases internacionais de olimpíadas científicas para equipes oriundas da Rede Federal.
Os polos olímpicos de conhecimento são um projeto-piloto da Secretaria de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica do Ministério da Educação (Setec/MEC) e desenvolvido pela Diretoria de Desenvolvimento da Rede Federal (DDR) em parceria com o IFSP, para promover a excelência acadêmica e a pesquisa em diversas áreas do conhecimento nos Institutos Federais.
De maneira semelhante aos valores e aos objetivos das olimpíadas esportivas, os polos podem ser criados em nível regional, nacional ou internacional e têm como objetivo identificar e desenvolver talentos intelectuais entre os estudantes da rede.
