A programação de seletivas do programa Atleta Cidadão, da Prefeitura de São José dos Campos, prossegue neste sábado (24), com o objetivo de incluir novos atletas na equipe de tênis de mesa, masculino e feminino. As equipes do Atleta Cidadão representam a cidade em competições oficiais ao longo da temporada.
A avaliação acontecerá a partir das 10h, no CT do Atleta Cidadão, localizado no Teatrão (Rua Ricardo Edwards, 95, Vila Industrial), para garotos e garotas nascidos entre os anos de 2005 e 2012.
Para participar da seletiva é necessário ser morador de São José dos Campos e apresentar comprovante de residência e RG, além de comparecer com sua própria raquete. As crianças e adolescentes também devem estar acompanhadas de um responsável.
A programação de seletivas do Atleta Cidadão começou no dia 13 de janeiro e termina na próxima semana, com as seletivas do atletismo (masculino e feminino) e da natação PCD (masculino e feminino).
Os testes do atletismo acontecerão no Poliesportivo João do Pulo, nos dias 27 ou 28 de fevereiro (terça e quarta), às 9h ou 14h, para nascidos entre os anos de 2007 e 2010. Já a seletiva da natação PCD será no dia 29 (quinta), também no João do Pulo, às 14h, parta nascidos entre os anos de 2004 e 2012.
Desde o início do ano foram realizadas 53 seletivas para 14 modalidades esportivas, entre masculinas e femininas, com a participação de 7.249 jovens. Foram pré-selecionados 855 atletas para ingresso no programa (12% de aprovação).
