A manhã desta quinta-feira (22), em São José dos Campos, foi movimentada com a apresentação do novo uniforme do time feminino de basquete.
O evento fez parte da programação da 4ª Semana do Basquete, que termina neste sábado (24), data comemorativa ao Dia Municipal do Basquetebol.
A cerimônia foi realizada no Teatrão e contou com a presença das jogadoras do Pontz São José Basketball Feminino, comissão técnica, imprensa, empresários, autoridades e pessoas ligadas ao esporte.
O treinador da equipe, Leandro Leal, celebrou o momento e ressaltou a importância do evento.
“Um momento muito feliz para nós, estão todos emocionados. Se estamos vivendo isso hoje é porque tivemos o apoio da Secretaria de Esportes, dos nossos patrocinadores e agora temos a Pontz acreditando neste projeto. A temporada passada foi um ano de conquistas, que nos possibilitou colocar um pé de volta ao cenário nacional. Temos uma das melhores base do Brasil, então jogar a LBF é mérito daquilo foi construído nessas categorias. Poder da continuidade nos sonhos dessas atletas para gente é o mais especial” afirmou o técnico.
O Pontz São José Basketball retorna à disputa da LBF (Liga de Basquete Feminino) após sete temporadas. A estreia das joseenses será no dia 1º de março, às 20h, contra o Corinthians, fora de casa.
A temporada 2024 da Liga de Basquete Feminino contará com um número recorde de clubes participantes, totalizando onze times na disputa pelo título do principal torneio da modalidade no país.
